Mill-Rose offers a complete selection of abrasive brushes in standard and custom brush constructions. These high quality abrasive brushes are designed for use in automatic machinery and equipment such as CNC machining centers, robotic work areas, highly specialized machinery, as well as hand tools. Mill-Rose burr brushes and double-spiral twisted-wire tube brushes offer an abrasive scrubbing action for cleaning and deburring. For more aggressive cleaning, Mill-Rose twisted-in-wire tube brushes provide extra cutting and cleaning action in a variety of applications, including cross hole deburring, burr removal, internal cleaning, removal of small imperfections and surface preparation. Mill-Rose cup and wheel brushes debur and clean machined surfaces and edges. Mill-Rose is a leading manufacturer of scienti c-grade carbon ber brushes used in a variety of applications. Mill-Rose carbon ber brushes can be used as non-corrosive anodes in standard microbial fuel cells and benthic microbial fuel cells. With Mill-Rose brushes, the anode is no longer a limiting factor in power production for microbial fuel cells. Microbial fuel cells work through a bacterial process that passes electrons to an anode of a fuel cell. The electrons flow from the anode through a wire to a cathode, producing an electric current. Universities and testing facilities around the world have used the bacteria that naturally occurs in waste-water, requiring no special bacterial strains or unusual environmental demands. In the process, the bacteria consume organic matter in the waste-water and actually clean the water. The process is good for the environment as the bacteria consumes organic matter in waste-water that actually cleans the water, something that usually requires the consumption of energy. Now that microbial fuel cells have been tested and proven, commercial applications are the next step. Mill-Rose carbon fiber brushes are non-corrosive and offer a high surface area for bacterial growth and high power densities in microbial fuel cells (MFCs) for large-scale electricity production. In fact, our carbon fiber brushes have 300 to 1,500 times more surface area than previously used carbon paper anodes. Mill-Rose carbon fiber brushes are highly conductive and have an open structure that avoids biofouling. Mill-Rose carbon fiber brushes have been tried and tested as anodes for microbial fuel cells for years. Conflare and square wheel brushes are mounted on a 1/4" shank to provide quick and easy installation in a collet, chuck, mill, lathe, exc. Mill-Rose conflare brushes feature rugged construction for tough cleaning jobs on internal and external surfaces. Conflare brushes are highly effective for side cleaning, while eliminating bottom scoring. These brushes do not flare during operation. Mill-Rose conflare brushes deliver longer brush life compared to other circular styles due to wire angle. Our conflare brushes are available in high carbon steel or stainless steel. Applications include weld and carbon removal, deburring, and plastic flash removal. Special dimensions are available upon request. Cup Brushes
Mill-Rose cup brushes are designed for polishing or cleaning large areas with flat surfaces, and complex convoluted surfaces such as carvings and castings. Heavy-duty brush construction and maximum density of wire (high-carbon steel or stainless steel) help minimize flattening and spreading during use. Mill-Rose cup brushes remove scale, rust and paint, in addition to polishing. Cup brushes can be used flat or as an edging cutter in narrow spaces. Mill-Rose deck scrub brushes are excellent for tough scrubbing jobs on decks, floors and large surfaces. Mill-Rose deck scrub brushes are available in three types of bristles (tampico, palmyra and synthetic) securly mounted in a wooden block. Handles must be ordered separately.

Mill-Rose fender brushes are Ideal for cleaning car fenders, Fender Wells, Wheels, and Wheel Wells. Fender brushes also work great on your vehicle's undercarriage. Miniature Brushes
Miniature & Micro Brushes Mill-Rose miniature brushes and micro brushes can be used for a variety of applications including cleaning, polishing, finishing, deburring and more. Mill-Rose miniature brushes are available in a variety of styles and configurations from 0.014″ in diameter to deburr, clean and slightly ream very small holes and cavities. Miniature Abrasive Tube Brushes Miniature abrasive tube brushes are designed for cleaning and deburring holes drilled in close-tolerance metallic and non-metallic parts. These brushes are flexible, designed to retain their shape better than wire-fill brushes, and will not degrade the diameter, straightness or surface finish of the holes. Micro Twisted-Wire Brushes Mill-Rose micro twisted wire brushes, 0.014" to 0.125" in diameter, deburr, clean and slightly ream very small holes and cavities. These brushes are available in high carbon, stainless steel, brass, and carbon fiber. Micro twisted wire brushes can also be supplied in a full range of other materials including man-made fibers. The sturdy loop handle makes these brushes easy to use. Micro brushes are available in a full range of diameters in increments of .001", and as small as .014" in diameter. Painting & Varnish Brushes
Mill-Rose poly chip brushes are an economical and disposable brush with natural, undyed bristles mounted in wooden handles set in epoxy. Chip brushes are ideal for use with resins, glues, acetone and other solvents. Use Mill-Rose chip brushes to clean parts, apply touch-up paint, paint trim, and many other boat, workshop, and household uses. This is an excellent machinist’s chip and oil brush. Now available with Nylon bristles.
Square Side / Bottom Brushes
Mill-Rose side / bottom brushes are available in high carbon steel, stainless steel, or brass. Si-Bot brushes are ideal for side and bottom cleaning, or cutting action of pipes. Special sizes and shapes can be made upon request. Be sure that the 1/4" shank is fully inserted into the chuck and tightened securely. Strip Brushes
Strip brushes can take many shapes and sizes: straight, closed and open wound coil, disc, cup, triangular, oval, and helecal. Strip Brushes can be bristled with practically all standard materials (see fill materials listed below). Twisted-in-wire brushes are also referred to as twisted-wire brushes, twisted brushes, tube brushes, bottle brushes and spiral brushes. They are made by inserting bristle material between the stem wires and twisting the stem wires to securing the bristle material. Wheel Brushes
Mill-Rose copper center wheel brushes are very popular, low-cost, small-diameter brushes for light-duty, high-speed cleaning and polishing operations. Copper center wheel brushes feature a high-density bristle fill to produce maximum surface contact and brushing efficiency per thousand rpm (rounds per minute) with either portable or fixed power tools. Available in standard diameters up to 4 inches with arbor holes ranging from 1/4" to 5/8". Mill-Rose copper center brushes are available in high carbon steel, stainless steel, nylon, silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, and brass.
